McCaughey Centre Seminar Series, Semester 1 2008: The McCaughey Centre hosts 7 seminars, presented by a range of University and external guests, from the 1st April to the 24th June. Partner and Other Events

 

Monday 21st April, 6-7.30pm: A Zero Carbon World? Learning from the worlds largest living experiment: the 30 yr old Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) UK. Featuring Peter Harper, Director of Research and Innovation at CAT. Prince Philip Theatre, University of Melbourne, Building 133, on right off Swanston St, Gate 3. 10th - 12th September 2008, 5th World Conference on the Promotion of Mental Health and the Prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorders: From Margins to Mainstream.

In recognition of the growing burden of mental illnesses and the need to look for new ways of promoting mental health, the next World Conference on the Promotion of Mental Health and Prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorders is being hosted by VicHealth at the Melbourne Convention Centre in Australia 2008. The conference is organised by the World Federation of Mental Health, The Clifford Beers Foundation, the Mental Health Program of the Carter Center, AUSEINET and VicHealth, and supported by the Global Consortium for Prevention and Promotion in Mental Health (GCAPP).
